A Little "Mommy Time"

Yesterday was a little rough in our 12 by 20 foot room...so when my darling husband got back to the hotel, I went out for a little retail therapy :) I started at Hobby Lobby, got some great inspiration for some up and coming crafts, but nothing I just had to have right now. I decided to make a small trip to T.J.Maxx (always worth it!) I ended up getting these cute little Piggy Pancake utensils and pan that my son has been eyeing every time we go to a T.J. Maxx.

So, for $8 I made my son's day/week...he'e really been wanting "piggy" pancakes...he's pretty easily amused, like his mom.

Well, I just wanted to share my T.J.'s find with you...I thought it was too cute :) Talk to you later. Thanks for stopping by :)

OK, here I go...

eek, my first post on my first blog...so scary and exciting all at once. Well I guess a good place to start is to introduce myself to you. My name is Rachel and I am married to a great man, the love of my life, Shannon. We are the proud parents to our little crazy, fun, hilarious, Kameron. I started this blog to help me have a little space that was just for me...and a place to share my ideas, recipes, and other awesome things that I find in stores and online. I love to go thrift store and yard sale shopping, I have gotten some amazing items to re-purpose or just fix up. I am very much a DIY kinda girl, and love having an outlet for creativity without it costing me a lot. I have a dream of one day having a store front for my cakes, cupcakes and gifts, but for now that remains only a dream.

We are in the middle of a move from our cute little home in the middle of no where to Meridian, Mississippi. Granted it's not a far move (only about 1 and 1/2 hours) but right now, we are stuck in the in-between. My husband is getting trained for his new job in Birmingham, Alabama, and my son and I have joined him out here. So, as you can guess I really needed some sort of outlet right now, due to being in a small hotel room with a four year old everyday, and we've got about another 4 weeks to go :) Wish me luck! So glad I brought my yarn, scrapbook paper, glue gun, etc. (a girl's gotta keep busy...who knows I may even learn how to knit...lol) I found a Salvation Army store yesterday, and plan on making a trip to check it out soon...I'll let you know what I find :)

Well, I have to go wrangle in my little one and try to get him to nap...I'll talk to ya'll later...whoever you are, if there's anyone there that is :)

Thanks for taking the time to get to know me just a little bit...and I look forward to getting to know you too :)
